I vehemently despise libraries because my freedom to enjoy a book is greatly restricted by regulations and late fees. I like to take my time and my library has a cap on renewals, and if someone else wants the book then I definitely can’t renew it and in order to still read at my slow paced but very savoring speed, I have to accumulate silly late fees. At that point, I might as well purchase the book. Lets not forget that the kind of books I enjoy they have few of. So purchasing is far better. Buying books wins out over borrowing. The real question that should be asked, which is better, new books or used books? I’ll buy used when the savings is $15 to $20 or more.

It’s beautiful Emily but I wish you had talked in your video – the silence made it eerie I’m SO jealous of the lift. I once visited friends in Streatham who lived in the most beautiful building with the tiniest old, open lift and I was incredibly envious of such a minor thing. It brought so much character to their building. Wishing you lots of luck and love in your new home.

Those Easter treats look amazing. I’m completely jealous! I don’t think I had an treats this easter.. even some Cadbury chocolate eggs would have been nice.

As for the speed limits in America, I agree. Miles mean nothing to me! But in my experience, there are always cops.. although the “I didn’t know how to convert miles to km” excuse has worked for the drivers I’ve been with during my trips there

so much excitement! and yes, we generally go 15 to 30 over any posted speed limit. we’re all terrible; the whole of america (no, but seriously. it’s totally dangerous and scary. yet i love flying down the highway)
